Welcome to Story Atelier ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of your family, especially your children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you and your child visit and co-create on our interactive story platform.
2. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)
Our platform is designed for **parent-child co-creation**. We assume that any interactive choice or story creation session is conducted by a child **under the direct supervision of a parent or legal guardian**.
- We do **not** intentionally collect personal information directly from children under 13.
- We do **not** require children to create an account, enter email addresses, or provide real names to play and explore our stories.
3. Information We Collect
We only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to deliver a functional, magical 3D story experience:
- Story Interaction & Choices: Temporary session paths, choices made during the story, and the custom title or names input into the story builder to compile your family's unique book.
- Payment Information: When you choose to purchase and save a completed storybook, transactions are processed securely via **PayPal**. We receive order confirmation metadata (such as Transaction ID and your billing email address) to unlock your permanent link. We **never** see or store your credit card details.
- Technical Logs: Anonymous browser details, device type, and language preferences to properly load our lightweight 3D/WebGL assets.
4. How We Use Information
We use your data strictly to:
- Generate and render your custom AI storybook elements in real-time.
- Maintain your permanent personal digital shelf.
- Provide customer support if you lose your custom book link.
5. Data Retention & Third Parties
Story data is processed temporarily in our runtime environment. Once a purchased book is generated, it is safely stored. Unsaved, incomplete guest sessions are periodically cleared. We do **not** sell, rent, or monetize your or your child's data to third-party advertisers.
